Dr. Michael Fussell and Dr. Jennifer Murray

Dr. Michael Fussell and Dr. Jennifer Murray have been the proud owners of Davis Drive Animal Clinic since 2001. They both graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1995 with a focus in small animal practice.  Dr. Fussell has a commitment to continuing education in dental health and Dr. Murray has a special interest in ultrasound and preventative health care. They are married and enjoy spending time at the cottage and camping with their two teenage daughters. Furry family members include cats Molly and Harry and dog Lily, a Dominican Potcake, who never fails to put a smile on our faces every day.

Dr. Jessie Graham

Dr. Jessie Graham completed her Bachelor of Science at McMaster University and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College, with a focus on small animal medicine.  She has a special interest in rehabilitation and is currently is working towards her certification in canine rehabilitation (CCRP) through the University of Tennessee.

As a Fear Free® veterinary professional, Dr. Graham is committed to reducing the fear, anxiety and stress of patients when visiting the veterinary clinic.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, dog (Riley) and family horse, Rex.

Dr Courtney Burstein

Dr. Burstein studied Health Sciences at Wilfrid Laurier University, and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2019.

Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship in emergency, internal medicine and surgery. She was practicing at a busy small animal general practice in Toronto before joining the team at Davis Drive Animal Clinic.

Her professional interests include internal medicine, behaviour, palliative care, pain management and minimizing animal stress at veterinary visits. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and hiking, and spending time at her family cottage with her family and two kitties, Hall and Oates.

Michelle – Client Care Lead

Michelle went to Durham College and graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program in 2013. She started working at Davis Drive Animal Clinic soon after. She works primarily at our front desk, answering the phone and assisting our clients and their pets. Michelle adopted a senior cat named Sadie in 2019 and also has some fish. When not at work she enjoys watching movies, TV Shows, going on outdoor adventures, and photography.

Mary – Client Care

Mary joined the Davis Drive Animal Clinic team as a part time receptionist, after retiring from a long career in the banking industry.She missed the client contact and readily jumped at the opportunity to join the team, greeting our clients on the phone and assisting them with all their pet’s needs.Mary and her family have called Newmarket home for the past thirty-five years.She currently shares her home with her husband, son and two rescue cats Molly and Fiona. In her spare time Mary enjoys gardening and photography.

Cheryl Herring – Registered Veterinary Technician

Cheryl has been at Davis Drive Animal Clinic since graduating from the Animal Health Technology program at Centralia College in 1986.She lives with her husband and three cats: Andy, Gandalf, and Orangey. On occasion, Ray – her son’s dog -comes to stay as well (much to the cat’s disapproval). Cheryl enjoys seeing new and familiar patients when they are here for their visit to the clinic. When not looking after your furry friends, she enjoys reading, movies and gardening.

Lori – Registered Veterinary Technician

Lori graduated from the Ridgetown College’s Veterinary Technician Program in 2001 and joined the Davis Drive Team soon after. Lori enjoys laboratory work, anesthesia and assisting the veterinarians in the operating room. Lori lives on a beef farm with her husband and three children. She also shares her home with her yellow lab, Amber and her beagle, Marti. When not at work, Lori enjoys time with her family, cheering on her sons at their hockey games, working on the farm, and gardening. You may see her at the Newmarket Farmer’s Market with buckets of sunflowers for sale, as well as pumpkins and squash in the fall.

Victoria – Registered Veterinary Technician

Victoria graduated from the Georgian College Veterinary Technician Program in 2006 and joined Davis Drive Animal Clinic that spring. She enjoys client education and coordinating weight loss programs for pets. Outside of the clinic, Victoria enjoys camping with her husband and 2 daughters, reading and spending time with their four cats – Angel, Zomi, Brooke and Monkey. Her future includes adopting a puppy.

Ellora – Registered Veterinary Technician

Ellora graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Sheridan College in 2021 and joined Davis Drive Animal Clinic in 2022. Ellora is especially interested in pain management and rehabilitation while working alongside clients to support their pets. Ellora’s spare time also involves animals as she instructs obedience classes and trains and works with her Newfoundland dogs in conformation, obedience, agility, water rescue and draft work. She also shares her house with budgies and fish and hopes to have another cat again soon. When she has time, she plays the harp and enjoys downhill skiing, camping and travelling.

Megan – Registered Veterinary Technician

Megan graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in 2014 and also received the radiology award. She has worked at Davis Drive on and off since graduating; covering maternity leaves and working part time. She is now back with the team full time.

Megan enjoys laboratory work, radiology, and internal medicine. When not in the clinic she enjoys being by the water, spending time with her family and curling up with a good book. She lives with her husband, 2 children, a Chocolate Lab and 2 cats.

Jenn – Veterinary Assistant

Jenn started her time at the Davis Drive Animal Clinic in 2017 through the cooperative education program at her high school. Jenn has been a student at the University of Guelph since fall of 2019 and has since completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Zoology. Jenn is currently completing a research-based Masters of Science and has hopes of attending the Ontario Veterinary College. When not in the clinic, Jenn enjoys reading, hiking, and hanging out with her cat, Moka, and budgies, Kiwi and Echo.
